Medicalis - 15th International Congress for Medical Students and Young Health Professionals held in Cluj Romania, from the 15th to the 18th May. Mr. Pedro das Neves presentation was part of the prison medicine conference and focused the “The young, the old and the fool (mentally ill) in prison. New challenges for prison healthcare in Europe”.
This presentation aimed to be a contribution to the discussion on the incarceration of elderly inmates, youngsters and the mentally ill; to raise awareness to the problem and foster the reflection on some changes needed in social, justice and public health policies in some EU countries.
